The Thar Coalfield Block II,as an energy project that serves as the foundation of the country’s economic development, is a key project in the energy sector prioritized for implementation in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
At the end of 2015, Anglo Group’s Anglo Coal Company Limited (SECMC), the constructor of Thar Coal Power Project, requested CCIC to provide quality supervision services for the equipment procurement of Thar Coal Power Project.After receiving the demand, CCIC Beijing rapidly set up a working team, and formulated a quality supervision program for more than 40 types of coalfield mining equipments, such as wide-body dump trucks, wheel loaders, forklifts, cranes, wires and cables, pipes and pipe fittings,etc.
The program includes a variety of inspection types such as supplier audits, production process supervision, key node inspection, equipment factory inspection, production progress management, etc. In the first half of 2016, CCIC Beijing completed the comprehensive quality monitoring of the first batch of 300 wide-body dump trucks, which ensured the delivery of quality products to the project site.
In 2017, Anglo Group’s Anglo Power Group (EPL) once again entrusted CCIC Beijing to provide quality supervision services for the procurement of more than 30 more types of thermal power equipment procurement to provide quality monitoring services.
During the execution of the project, CCIC fully utilized the advantages of the Group’s network at both domestic and overseas, coordinated the active participation of a number of companies in the system, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shaanxi, CCIC South and Singapore, and successfully completed the inspection tasks.
