Basing on the measurement results of the stockpile’s volume by using Total Station, a State-of-the-art laser-based instrumental method, and combined with the cargo’s density tested, the weight of cargo stockpile could be obtained accurately and timely, which greatly facilitates relevant parties to exercise efficient management on stockpile inventory at ports, mining sites or manufacturing facilities.
