The event was co‑hosted by China Economic Information Service and China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC), with China Automotive Engineering Research Institute as the co‑organizer.
Attendees included Yang Zhiming, special research fellow of the State Council Counsellors’ Office; Lu Qi, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CCIC; Zeng Rong, Deputy Party Secretary and District Mayor of Jiulongpo District in Chongqing; Jiang Shiqiang, Director of Xinhua News Agency Chongqing Branch; and Pan Haiping, Chairman of China Economic Information Service.
As a key operator of China’s National Quality Infrastructure (NQI), CCIC focuses on core businesses including inspection, testing, certification, standards and metrology. Lu Qi said CCIC has made landmark progress in three areas: “making intelligence measurable”, “making safety verifiable”, and “enabling Chinese solutions to travel globally”. These efforts provide solid support for delivering automotive new quality productive forces and securing quality‑safety bottom lines for the sector.
Looking ahead, CCIC will fulfill three core missions for central SOEs: boosting scientific and technological innovation, supporting industrial control, and safeguarding security. “We will place measurement standards ahead of innovation, embed smart tools deep into quality management, and deliver compliance services for Chinese vehicles going global,” Lu Qi noted. He called for joint work across the industry to set sound standards, build stronger technical capacities and win greater market trust, so Chinese automobiles can operate more reliably and expand further worldwide.
During the forum, a set of important outputs were released. They covered results from the 3rd National New‑Energy Vehicle Battery Safety Early‑Warning Algorithm Contest, a robot vision large‑model training and test site, extreme‑heat test findings for 2026 new‑energy passenger vehicles, and 2026 Typical Cases of Automotive New Quality Productive Forces.
Seven guest speakers delivered keynote speeches. Their talks centered on smart‑manufacturing practices, collaborative‑innovation exploration and forward‑looking technology planning.
