On July 18, the Second Conference on Sustainable Supply Chains & Innovation opened in Beijing. The event was hosted by China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) and undertaken by China Quality Certification Centre (CQC).
Attendees included Zhai Qing, Deputy Director of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Population, Resources and Environment Committee and former Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment; Zhang Xiaosong, Deputy Director of the Social Responsibility Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC); Du Guogong, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of SASAC Research Center; Yin Mingyu, Deputy Director of the Emergency Management Ministry International Exchange and Cooperation Center; Hu Dajian, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing; Tu Ruihe, Vice Chairman of All-China Environment Federation and former UNEP Representative to China; Zhang Minwen, Director of IFRS Foundation Beijing Office and Special Advisor to the Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB); Li Yongji, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CCIC; and Sun Yuyou, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CCIC.
The conference featured two special sessions: a seminar on cross-border compliance and sustainable growth for Chinese supply chain firms going global, and a roundtable discussion on building eco-friendly industrial chains for new energy vehicles. Certificates were also presented to the 21 founding members of the CSSCP.
